Spring

Ahhhhh spring, time for the flowers to begin blooming and the grass to grow green. Time to hear the newly fixed lawn mowers as they cut the crisp green grass. Time to smell the flowers as you walk through the beautifully manicured lawn. Time to see rain droplets replace the cold, crystal snow flakes as they fall from the sky (unless you live in the Texas Panhandle where it continues to snow well into spring.) Spring brings new blooming flowers, green grass, and the smell of rain in the afternoon, all of which I absolutely love!

Intimidating

I'm not one to count my chickens before they hatch. I feel that the EOC is intimidating more than anything. I feel like Mrs. Waters has done an excellent job preparing us for the test. Now it is our turn to finish the race. If I can apply the knowledge that she has given to us, I think I should do fine.

The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

The Good: I enjoyed spending time with family and going to the carnival. I enjoyed getting a whole week out from school!

The Bad: I had to clean my room putting a damper on the day. I had to go to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned on the first day of spring break.

The Ugly: Spring break was only one week long, not long enough. Two out of the five days of spring break I looked very ugly!

Compassionate

I believe actions speak loud than words. There are many reasons why I believe this. I have been raised to know that I should be nice to everyone no matter what they treat me like. I can tell someone that I am a nice person but by showing that I'm nice makes a world of difference. While I try my hardest to be nice to everyone, I fall under the influence of peer pressure. Just because people don't treat me the way I like to be treated doesn't mean I should act like them. Unfortunately I have to work on this. While I say that I am nice to everyone I know that I'm not. I know of numerous occasions where I thought I was nice but I was interpreted a different way. Besides that I feel that I strive to be a good person. I truly do care about everyone even if I come off as being rude and hateful. I try to make good decisions and I honestly try to be nice to everyone but let's face it, we are all human!

Don't drop out.

1. Don't drop out, if you do you won't amount to anything. I only want the best for you and dropping out won't get you anywhere in life. 
2. You have been in school since kindergarten why drop out now? Why waste all that time, you just have two years left! 
3. If you drop out now you will let down everyone who cares about you. Everyone that loves you has put so much time and effort into raising you and getting you through school. Why waste their time? 
4. If you drop out I will miss you. I won't get to walk to every class with you or do homework with you. 
5. Dropping out of school looks very bad on your family. If you drop out think what everyone is going to think about your family. You would set a bad example to everyone who looks up to you. Don't drop out of school, it's a stupid idea.

A "Triumph"ant four days.

Dear Triumph Cruise Takers,

     Carnival cruise has been in business since 1972 and we value nothing but the best for our customers. The Triumph has been setting sail since 1999, towing families from all over the world for a fun filled time. The leak in one of the fuel oil return lines is being investigated and I can assure you this will not happen again. While we are giving full refund and a free cruise we are deeply sorry for any inconvenience. While I know you all don't want to go on another Carnival Cruise or see any of our workers faces again, I would like you to remember that we are all human and some things do go wrong. While you might think that nothing like this should happen I would like you to imagine yourself as the captain of the ship. What would you do? While you are thinking about that I would like to tell you that we have many other cruise ships you would love. I can promise you there is a .01% chance that you will become stranded again. If you were to become stranded we will have yacht's waiting on you for your easy access. I can assure you that you will have the best time of your life. I'm sorry for any inconvenience that you have been at, thank you for your cooperation.

Invisible

If I was invisible for one hour I would want to walk into Sam's Club and stack food into a pile, then make a free Icee. Where I would then grab a cart with the food piled into it and walk to my car. I would then proceed to the mall, where I would then buy new clothes. I wouldn't want to be without clothes when I appeared again. After buying food at Sam's Club for thirty minutes and at the mall for 25, I would run into a dressing room where I would then put on new clothes.

Fatty Food = Fat Children

There's always room for improvement no matter what you are doing. When it comes to fatty food in schools, there is no difference. In my opinion schools should do all they can to improve the food they serve to students. Instead of serving greasy pizza and other fatty foods, they should serve healthier pizzas with whole grain crust. This is just one example of how schools can help contribute to a healthier future for today's youth.

Bucket List

Five things I want to do before I die...
1. Eat a whole juicy 72 oz. steak at The Big Texan.
2. Drive a white Land Rover (even if it's just in the dealership parking lot).
3. Learn to ski down a huge mountain.
4. Go to every 50 states including every beautiful national park.
5. Lucky number 5, well I have a huge fear of flying in airplanes sooo I want to fly in an enormous airplane without dying.

Iconic

Martin Luther King Jr. has inspired many people by what he has done for our country. What he has done for our country has made him an icon. Martin Luther King Jr. is iconic, he has changed the world for African-Americans. Martin Luther King Jr. "had a dream", it has now made him an icon all over the world.

 Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen is my favorite song. The chorus for this song is..."Hey I just met you and this is crazy, But here's my number, so call me maybe. It's hard to look right at you baby, But here's my number, so call me maybe." "Hey I just met you and this is crazy but here's my number, so call me maybe. And all the other boys try to chase me. But here's my number, so call me maybe." This song means a lot to me because last summer this was (what seemed like) the only song my cousin and I listened too. We continued to listen to the song long into the school year also. I absolutely love this song because she would hear it on the radio, and then text me the song lyrics. It sounds stupid but she heard the song almost every Friday night. I would be either on the bus going to the football game, or be at a football game. She would also be going to a different football game and would hear the song. It was more or less a way that we could both keep in touch with each other while still continuing our busy lives. Many funny memories were made when we both listened to the song together.

iPad

     My iPad stays with me 24-7. Every night it's right beside me laying on a pillow. Every morning I wake up I get on my iPad. Everyday at lunch, after school, and at night I am on my iPad. I always do what homework needs to be done before I get on my iPad, but most of the time I'm on my iPad while I'm doing my homework. My iPad is like my family, it never leaves my side.

     My awesome friend Cassidy is addicted to sarcasm. She doesn't know why she is addicted but she just is. Sarcasm isn't a terrible thing to be addicted to. In Cassidy's instance it's kind of funny. Cassidy's sarcastic ways shouldn't be changed, it's a part of her.

Stop spending money!

Money, money, money, I spend way to much of it! This year I have decided that I am going to quit spending so much money. Although it is delicious I eat way to much junk food. I am going to quit eating so much artery clogging food. I have decided that I only have one body and I should take care of it. Having good grades doesn't just pay off in high school but it will pay off later in my life. Spending less money is going to be my hardest New Year's resolution.

I had a wonderful break, since it was still 2012, and my previous New Year's resolutions have already gone out of the window. I spent way to much money, ate way to much food but yet I still enjoyed every bit of it. I enjoyed getting to spend time with family that lives in Florida. Shopping and eating dominated my break. Above all though, I loved getting to spend time with family that I hadn't seen in forever.  Christmas break was much needed and very enjoyable!  Now I am determined to keep my 2013 New  Year's resolution.

$100,000

If I had $100,000 to give away, I would give it to people in need. I would donate $50,000 to families and children in need. I would go buy toys, clothing, and food for those needy people. The other $50,000 I would donate to research. $25,000 for cancer research and the other $25,000 to American Diabetes Association.

My magical cow!

If a cow could produce something besides milk, I would hope they would make lemonade. Lemonade is better than milk, and I like to drink it more than milk. Lemonade isn't as nutritious as milk, but if a cow could make make lemonade, I would be happy. If a cow could produce lemonade I would have my own personal cow. I would have my own magical cow that would make lemonade for me whenever I wanted it.

Improvements!

Our school would be so much better if instead of stairs we had an escalator. That way we wouldn't have to walk up the stairs. If we had a McDonald's instead of a cafeteria we could eat unhealthy food and have more choices. Having an escalator and a McDonald's would make this school so much better. We could eat savory unhealthy food, and not have to walk up the stairs!

Road Rage

I'm the type of person that you don't want to make mad. At. All. Sometimes I over-react but most of the time, I'm right. The last time I got mad was Monday, when I had terrible road rage. Some guy or woman who had an Oklahoma license plate decided that he or she would try to pass me not once, not twice, but three times. The first time the person in the little white car tried to pass me he or she finally realized that they couldn't pass on a double yellow line. The second time they tried to pass me they succeeded in doing so. I had moved to the passing lane since there was a truck on the side of the road that I didn't want to hit. They decided that they could pass me on the other side, between the truck and the passenger side of my vehicle. As I glared at the little person in his white car I realized that I should be the bigger person and a better driver. I took my cruise control off and slowed down to 65 where I then let them pass me on the wrong side of the road. While yes they had already passed me I figured that he would stay in the lane he or she was in but I was wrong. The idiot then crossed over into the passing lane and the same time that I obeyed by the law and got into the other lane to drive. They weren't just causing me to have road rage he or she also thought they would be cool and speed up to at least 80. When I think back to Monday I presume I handled it the best way possible since I was going down the road at 70 mph. I couldn't make a very harsh decision at the moment in time. Unlike the inexperienced driver in the little white car.

Give Thanks!

I'm thankful for a God that loves me! Without God nothing would be possible, if it weren't for him nothing would matter in life. I'm thankful for my parents! If I didn't have my parents I wouldn't be were I am today. They have gotten me through so much, good and bad. I'm thankful for both of my Grandmas! Without them I wouldn't be as spoiled as I am. While they do spoil me they have truly been there for me when I needed to laugh and when I needed to cry. I'm thankful for my dog Tuffy! Without Tuffy I would be cold in the winter and bored all year long. While I do have friends, my dog outshines them all. Last but not least, I'm thankful for money! While money can't buy happiness it does buy food, vehicles, clothing, well you get the point. People say that you don't know what you have until it's gone and in this busy world it's sometimes hard to remember to be thankful every minute of your life. During the Holiday seasons I tend to remember what I have and how thankful I am for all of it. I'm thankful that I have a God that loves me unconditionally. For a family that is there for each other every second of every day. While it may sound spoiled I'm thankful for money, without it I might be happy but I wouldn't get to go and do the things that I get to do. Give thanks for everything God has blessed you with in life!

Stranded with my Aunt

If I was on a stranded island and could only have one friend plus two items, I would take a source of power and a phone charger. As for who I would take, probably my Aunt. She would keep us both entertained and have her cell phone. That way she would have her cell phone to call all of our family members. I think we would get along pretty good, that is until we ran out of food.

Inhumane

     The daughter got "fresh", meaning she was sarcastic and rude to her parents like most teenagers have done in their life. If it was me, I wouldn't give a care if there was a bad or embarrassing picture on my Facebook of my parents. I don't believe that was a harsh punishment for a child. If the parents are paying for everything she has they have the right to do whatever they want. The point that the parents were trying to make was to show their daughter who is boss. If she doesn't learn her lesson she will continue to act "fresh". I don't think my parents would ever do that to me, we have more class than that. If I ever did something wrong my parents would just tell me, they wouldn't go post it all over Facebook.
